This portrait was born from a very special commission: capturing the presence of a child in an intimate, luminous register—one where the delicacy of watercolor could breathe. I worked in A3 format to give space to the gesture and to transparency—those subtle layers that only watercolor allows, when water and pigment find their own rhythm.
The composition seeks a balance between likeness and interpretation. Rather than “copying” a photograph, the goal was to translate expression, personality, and atmosphere: the softness of the gaze, the vibration of color in the skin, and small contrasts that bring the face to life. The washes and transitions are intentionally left visible as part of the process—because that’s where the portrait gains its truth.
If you’re looking for an original, hand-painted portrait to gift or keep, I work on commission from photographs (with guidance in choosing the right image) and with close attention to the details that make each piece unique. The result is always faithful to what matters most, but shaped by my own language and sensibility.

This watercolor painting below was created as a commission and celebrates the bond between two children in a portrait full of tenderness and presence. In A3 format, I aimed to give the drawing the space it needed so that expression and small gestures could breathe—those details that make a portrait truly personal.
Working in watercolor allows me to build the image through transparent layers, letting light pass through the paper and creating a sense of lightness. Between looser washes and more defined areas, I balanced likeness and interpretation: capturing recognizable features, yes, but also the energy of the moment, the sweetness of the gaze, and the relationship between the two figures.
Each commissioned portrait is conceived as a unique, authorial piece. I work from photographs (with guidance in selecting the images) and adapt the palette and level of detail to what makes the most sense for the person portrayed—so the result is not only faithful, but also emotionally true.
