At the ceramics course at @cencalformacao
We had to choose a song and then create a ceramics panel about it. I chose “disillusioned” by A perfect circle. As the web describes: The song is much more direct in its criticism of modern society which is a recurring motif in Maynard James Keenan’s writing. In the song, Keenan specifically targets our addiction to our cell phones and social media. Because of how instant and accessible they are, overuse of our smart phones and apps like Twitter, Facebook, etc. have caused us to be distant with each other. Anonymity that comes with the latter have made us more cynical, mean-spirited, and isolated.

In this song a person awakes and stops being part of the matrix. So I put in this panel everyone looking at the cellphone as sheep while one person awakes.

No curso de cerâmica na @cencalformacao tínhamos que escolher uma música e depois desenvolver um painel de azulejos sobre ela mesma. Escolhi “disillusioned” dos A perfect circle, devido à critica que fizeram à sociedade corrente.
Tal como diz a NET: Esta música é uma crítica directa à sociedade atual. Maynard dirige-se ao nosso vicio por telemóveis e redes sociais. Devido a quão instantâneos e acessíveis são, e à nossa utilização massiva dos mesmos, tornámo-nos mais distantes uns dos outros. E o anonimato que vem com os mesmos tornou-nos mais cínicos e isolados.

Nesta música uma pessoa acorda e deixa de ser parte do matrix. Por isso desenhei este painel com um bando de ovelhas a olhar para o telemóvel enquanto uma pessoa acorda.
