Paperclay Objects – Introduction
This collection of paperclay artworks explores the intersection of drawing, painting, and sculpture through a delicate yet expressive medium. Paperclay, with its unique combination of lightness and strength, allows me to shape fluid forms and surfaces that become both canvases and objects.
Each piece is hand-painted with ceramic pigments, often inspired by music, movement, and the rhythm of everyday life. Figures, abstract motifs, and symbolic elements emerge across the surfaces, turning the objects into narratives—where form and image coexist.
Far from being purely decorative, these works are conceived as poetic objects, inviting reflection on themes such as imagination, rhythm, memory, and the journey of thought. Through paperclay, I search for a language that bridges fragility and resilience, intimacy and universality.
About Me
I am a professional fine artist (drawing and painting) and illustrator, passionate about transforming drawing into creations that bring beauty and meaning to everyday life.
My work seeks to bring poetry into the present, blending tradition with contemporary expression, exploring nature, and using drawing as a universal language.
When I am not drawing, I am probably experimenting with new techniques or imagining the next project.
I have a degree in fine art – painting and a master in Drawing (Fbaul). Erasmus scholarship in Turin, Italy and an intensive drawing course at the Slade School of art, London. I have work published throughout the world and I’m represented by Trindade Gallery, Porto.
Drawing portraits from observation is one of my main skills so you can count on me for that!
