Artist Statement
Between figuration and abstraction, guided by intuition
My practice begins with observational drawing. Rather than following predetermined compositions, I develop each piece through an intuitive process where forms, relationships, and meanings gradually emerge — balancing intention with discovery.
At the core of my work is an exploration of how visual language can give form to experiences that exist only in our inner lives. Drawing on themes such as music, thought, and perception, I investigate how painting, drawing, and sculpture can translate intangible experience into visual form.
Characterised by vibrant colour, expressive line, and compositions that oscillate between structure and spontaneity, my practice creates visual environments that encourage slow looking and personal interpretation.
More recently, I have expanded this investigation into ceramic sculpture — exploring how the formal and conceptual principles of my two-dimensional work can be translated into three-dimensional space.
