Some weddings stay with you for what you see — others for what you feel. Megan and Karan’s wedding in Ghana was both: a truly magical setting, a luminous ceremony, and a delicate, ethereal atmosphere that felt like it belonged in a dream. I had the privilege of being there as their live wedding painter, capturing one of the most meaningful moments of the day in real time.
A white wedding filled with light
It was a true white wedding: soft drapery, gentle florals, an elegant palette of whites and greens, and a calm, refined energy in the middle of all the emotion.
And while it looks effortless, painting whites is one of the biggest challenges. You’re not painting “white” — you’re painting subtle shifts in temperature, barely-there shadows, transparency, folds, and reflections. It requires patience, sensitivity, and a lot of attention to the tiny details that make a scene feel alive.
Painting live: presence, pace, and emotion
What I love most about live wedding painting is the presence. I’m not recreating a moment from a photo — I’m living it with you.
For Megan and Karan, they chose to paint their first kiss, framed by a stunning floral arch. It’s a brief instant, but full of meaning — and that’s exactly what makes a live painting so special: it holds the emotion, not just the image.
After the big day, I had only 3 days to complete the piece in my studio because the couple lives in Ghana. It was an intense challenge — especially with such a subtle palette — and it demanded a very fast pace.
In the studio, I’m able to:
Refine details (expressions, hands, fabric folds)
Adjust values and contrast to add depth
Work on the gentle color transitions that make a light palette feel dimensional
Ensure the composition “breathes” and naturally draws the eye to the couple
The result is this painted memory — full of light, gestures, and emotion.

Este projeto foi realizado com a Vivaah Weddings, que criou um cenário impecável e muito inspirador.
Há casamentos que ficam connosco pelo que vemos — e outros pelo que sentimos. O casamento da Megan e do Karan, no Ghana, foi as duas coisas: um cenário verdadeiramente mágico, uma cerimónia luminosa e uma atmosfera delicada e etérea, como se tivesse saído de um sonho. Tive o privilégio de estar presente como live wedding painter, a captar em tempo real um dos momentos mais marcantes do dia.
Um casamento branco cheio de luz
Foi um verdadeiro white wedding: tecidos suaves, flores delicadas, uma paleta elegante de brancos e verdes, e uma energia calma e refinada no meio de toda a emoção.
E, apesar de parecer simples, pintar brancos é um dos maiores desafios. Não estamos a pintar “branco” — estamos a pintar subtis variações de temperatura, sombras quase impercetíveis, transparências, dobras e reflexos. Exige paciência, sensibilidade e muita atenção aos pequenos detalhes que fazem uma cena ganhar vida.
Pintar ao vivo: presença, ritmo e emoção
O que mais adoro na pintura ao vivo em casamentos é a presença. Não estou a recriar um momento a partir de uma fotografia — estou a vivê-lo convosco.
Para a Megan e o Karan, foi escolhido o momento do primeiro beijo, enquadrado por um arco floral deslumbrante. É um instante breve, mas cheio de significado — e é precisamente isso que torna uma pintura ao vivo tão especial: ela guarda a emoção, não apenas a imagem.
Depois do grande dia, tive apenas 3 dias para terminar a peça no meu estúdio, porque o casal vive no Ghana. Foi um desafio intenso — especialmente com uma paleta tão subtil — e exigiu um ritmo muito acelerado.
No estúdio, consigo:
Ajustar valores e contraste para dar mais profundidade,
Refinar detalhes (expressões, mãos, dobras do tecido),
Garantir que a composição “respira” e conduz naturalmente o olhar para o casal
O resultado é esta memória pintada — cheia de luz, gestos e emoção.
